"Shrink" takes obvious swipes at Hollywood

If a movie is called "Shrink," you know the psychiatrist in question is going to be a) crazy or b) spectacularly unprofessional or c) loaded with severely damaged, drug-addled patients. Director Jonas Pate goes for d) all of the above. Actually, "Shrink" does even better than that. Since Kevin Spacey's Dr. Henry Carter is the "shrink to the stars," you get all those easy potshots at nasty, insecure Hollywood types. link »

CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA - TEASER

Marley & Me Review- a not typical view

This review or rather a long blurb is about the currently released movie and after thoughts: Marley and Me. It is also a book with the same title.
It was a few years ago that I notice that book and liked Jennifer Aniston said, "the book was a dog book" until I went and watched the movie with the endorsement of the author, John Groban. I went to his website, I noted a few editions of his book, I would like to obtain the illustrated picture copy of that to see the life of Marley.
After watching the movie, I could relate to the stories of a pet owner in general. I do not know it only applies to the dogs, but as I watched the movie, I could see how pets and people are closely integrated to one another's lives without even us knowing it.
Marley was a lovable mischief soul that craved for constant attention and yet at the same time, teaching a lifetime of lessons about when times are tough, you need to take time out and wonder around how it becomes this way.

The Bachelor

I do not know if The Bachelor is running out of steam that they need some new spin or they are responding to the audience's reaction to the latest single dad bachelor- Matt Grant. Next will we see a bachelorette that is a single mommy? That will be very cool to see. The Bachelor is broadcast on ABC or your local stations on Mondays.

"Valkyrie" and Tom Cruise

"Stauffenberg was unique, handsome, and Tom had a lot of the same attributes, besides the physical looks of the character," "Valkyrie" director Bryan Singer told Reuters.

Valkyrie was a suspense movie right.  I watched the movie between New Year's Eve and the coming of the New Year.  How exciting to bring the New Year 2009!  Tom Cruise was not as terrible nor he was as overshadowed the movie or the plot.  In the movie,  you would see that he did take the time to do his preparations for his role.  I was most impressed with the actor who portrayed- General Friedrich Olbricht(Bill Nighy).  He captured his character and his vulnerability in its best.  The scenes of this movie were awe and shocking, at times overtaking the characters itself and at times, the plot itself.  Yet, there was a good reason to when you like to do a historical thriller with uttermost accuracy.
