The Milk of Sorrow: The Trailer

The Milk of Sorrow won the Berlin Film's Fest's- Golden Bear.
Through the story of a withdrawn contempo maidservant in Lima, the film deals subliminally but forcefully with the wartime traumas of many Peruvian women (who are said to have passed their traumas on to their daughters through breastfeeding, hence the title). Ultra-arthouse item, which copped the Golden Bear at Berlin, should find many champions as well as a few naysayers, and will need passionate support wherever it goes.

This Year's Oscars To Be Even More Unwatchable | TV | A.V. Club

It's all about wearing the right amount of plastic sheeting
Last year's Oscars were the lowest-rated, least-watched Oscars ceremony ever, a fact that most people blame on last year's nominated movies. No one really saw or cared about those movies, the theory goes , and also too many Europeans won, so no one watched link »

The ceremony is too long. Isn't it over 3 hours? I couldn't sit still waiting with my wits. It will cease to matter even if its American films. Maybe we need a variety show with humor skits from nominated movies in place of an Oscar long ceremony.
