Golden Girls star Bea Arthur dies at 86

Beatrice Arthur, the tall, deep-voiced actress whose razor-sharp delivery of comedy lines made her a TV star in the hit shows Maude and The Golden Girls " and who won a Tony Award for the musical Mame , died Saturday. She was 86. link »
Arthur was best known for playing Dorothy on the long-running sitcom The Golden Girls, alongside Betty White, Rue McClanahan and Estelle Getty, She also starred on the 1970s series, Maude. Maude, which debuted on CBS in 1972 (and ran until 1978) was a spin-off of the hit All in the Family. As the liberal cousin of arch-conservative Archie Bunker's wife Edith, Maude wasn't afraid to broach such controversial (especially for TV at the time) topics as abortion and civil rights. She also won a Tony Award for her role in the Broadway musical Mame. link »

SUSAN BOYLE MAKEOVER: She Dyes Hair, Wears Designer Clothes

Susan Boyle's new hairdo. Some say the overnight singing sensation who rocketed to fame after a phenomenal performance on "Britain's Got Talent" has every right to upgrade her dowdy appearance. Others fear she may lose her authenticity _ and her amazing connection with the TV audience _ if she goes too far in the image makeover department. link »

Its still Earth Week, therefore, the theme of Green comes with "Green". Take a look at these top 10 celebrities, though, mind you, not in the way being environmentally friendly, but "mockery" perhaps, because they have to do with "green".

Broadway Season 2008-09
Broadway's 2008-09 season kicked off with some early turbulence, as a generous handful of planned offerings ("Nice Work if You Can Get It," "Brigadoon") postponed or threw in the towel. Some of them -- including scuttled revivals of "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf" and "Godspell" -- cited investor pullouts as the cause of the trouble. The key for many of the season's successes lay in familiarity -- either a well-known title ("West Side Story"), a big-name movie star (Will Ferrell) or, ideally, both (Katie Holmes in "All My Sons"). |

Commentary: Susan Boyle Aftermath
susan boyle's did not change herself- In the Britain's Daily Mail titled: And you said you wouldn't change, Susan Boyle! Britain's Got Talent star shows off her new look, she brought herself a new outfit and a new leather jacket. I doubt that these choices were from, hmm, from any publicist or stylists??? They certainly have herself all over. Thats Susan Boyle trademark all over. Though, I do not know if she would redo her hair? She could still be herself by splurging a little. We are not looking at her physically, but hearing her singing and that's a whole lot important and significant. Her winning personality is a bonus along with her voice and therefore, don't judge a book by its cover.

Weekend Report: 'Hannah Montana' Rules Easter Roost

Dragonball Evolution wielded a paltry estimated $4.7 million at 2,181 sites in its debut, or about the same as Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li but from a far larger release. With a nondescript and nonsensical blast of special effects and martial arts, the picture's modest ad campaign made little attempt to attract those uninitiated in the Dragonball Japanese manga and anime series. link »
Hannah Montana was #1 at the box office grossing approx over $34 million US during the Easter long weekend. Only other kids friendly movie, Monsters vs Aliens earned sum monies, over $20million US. link »
