Golden Girls star Bea Arthur dies at 86

Beatrice Arthur, the tall, deep-voiced actress whose razor-sharp delivery of comedy lines made her a TV star in the hit shows Maude and The Golden Girls " and who won a Tony Award for the musical Mame , died Saturday. She was 86. ^{link »}

Arthur was best known for playing Dorothy on the long-running sitcom The Golden Girls, alongside Betty White, Rue McClanahan and Estelle Getty, She also starred on the 1970s series, Maude. Maude, which debuted on CBS in 1972 (and ran until 1978) was a spin-off of the hit All in the Family. As the liberal cousin of arch-conservative Archie Bunker's wife Edith, Maude wasn't afraid to broach such controversial (especially for TV at the time) topics as abortion and civil rights. susan boyle's did not change herself- In the Britain's Daily Mail titled: And you said you wouldn't change, Susan Boyle! Britain's Got Talent star shows off her new look, she brought herself a new outfit and a new leather jacket. I doubt that these choices were from, hmm, from any publicist or stylists??? They certainly have herself all over. Thats Susan Boyle trademark all over. Though, I do not know if she would redo her hair? She could still be herself by splurging a little. We are not looking at her physically, but hearing her singing and that's a whole lot important and significant. Her winning personality is a bonus along with her voice and therefore, don't judge a book by its cover.
