The Twilight Saga: New Moon photo
A few days late: Most of the world already know that Twilight is the #1 movie for the last weekend at the box office in all over the world. The movie did not cost too much to make. 2012 wins the box office race easily

2012 photo
2012 has done thus far approx: $65USm of domestic box office while in overseas, $160USm internationally. In the U.S., "2012" skewed slightly older, with 55% of the audience over age 25. It also skewed slightly female, at 52%.
"The opening number says that Roland Emmerich is an incredible filmmaker whose work resonates everywhere. He has truly set a new bar with this film in regards to the amazing images and special effects, as well as the story," said Sony pres of worldwide distribution Rory Bruer.
Pirate Radio unfortunately did not fare too well overall. Oprah produced film, which is still in limited release, Precious, did very well at the box office, approx $8.7USm. The film itself is a very serious one to watch! Originally I did want to do a review, but I feel a review might give too much away, so I am briefly going to say that Precious is one of the films that will make you think when you come out of the theaters. The trailer is below:

Pondering: The Simpsons

It may not be not much to a surprise that when Michael Jackson was alive, he really was a fan of Bart Simpson. For the years that The Simpsons are in the air, he tried to contribute songs for Bart. For years also, I am also a fan of the Simpsons, their language that they have spoken over the years, and how they have understand the current culture throughout the years. If Michael Jackson can be a child within him, I believe within us, we can have a little child within a grownup us.

Despicable Me Poster: Photos

Despicable Me photo

The reason why I post these are: these are pretty neat 2D pictures, and these will be shown in 3D next year with Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment. The plot revolves around a supervillain named Gru (Steve Carell) plotting to steal the moon while he hides underground in a suburban neighborhood. In the teaser trailer, the Great Pyramid of Giza is shown to have been stolen and may contribute to part of Gru's plan. His plot is jeopardized by three orphaned girls (Miranda Cosgrove, Dana Gaier, and Elsie Fisher) who see him as a prospective father.

Box Office: Christmas Begins on November

Maybe you know it already for a number of years already, Christmas started on November a decade or so ago. I don't know prior to that, but the box office responded to a movie: the Christmas Carol, a classic remake of the movie in 3D into a #1 North American movie, not bad @ all!

Sony's This Is It, a Michael Jackson doc is #2 with $14m US, not bad money rolling in for the second week. The Men Who Stare At Goats with George Clooney and I do think that this movie is a tad odd is in #3 at the box office.

Lots of festival circuits and George did help the movie receipts, I think!
