View On: Holiday/Christmas Movies
The season came earlier and earlier each passing year, and I do not like it a bit but at the same time, I do have the understanding the consumerism mindset of ours! When I saw this article: The new spirit of holiday movies, I read the article accompanied with the picture once then once again online. You really wonder why the writer and or reader would be skeptic about holiday movies that are warm or fuzzy feeling of happily after. Please note @ the photo on the article: that was Miracle in 34th Street (1947). The reference of George Bailey was from: Jimmy Stewart: Its a Wonderful Life (1946). If you would like people to recognize familiar symbols of Christmas, start with the movies classics that were mentioned above in a correct manner. Do any of the movie reviewers now-a-days watch TCM or classic movies or studied on history of movies or theatre?
A sample list of Christmas or holiday classic movies:
A Christmas Carol
The Bishop Wife
Scrooge
White Christmas

Sweetheart: The Mary Pickford Story
I wished I knew this production way earlier: this is the last day to see the production of: Sweetheart: The Mary Pickford Story. It is to be performed at the newly restored Spandia Museum in Toronto.
If you do not know who Mary Pickford was: she was the silent film star from 1900-1930. She was born in Canada and among the first pioneers in film negotiations.
Note: In TCM Classic Movies are featured Pickford films during November.

Oakley To Debut 3D Eyewear With Special TRON: Legacy Film Edition
Tron Legacy Film Ed: 3D Gascan is designed with a proprietary Three-Point Fit to retain the lenses in precise optical alignment. The fit optimizes comfort by eliminating the unbalanced pressure points common with ordinary frames. Oakley’s durable yet lightweight frame makes contact only at the sides of the head and bridge of the nose, and it does not hook the ears like conventional frames made with curved earstems. Does not sound too expensive, but does it work as good as it sounds, we will know when the 3D eyewear launches in December.
